Our purpose here is to educate you on what the X-10 family of cameras are really all about and exactly what kind of picture quality you can expect from the different X-10 Cameras. The images you see on the X-10 website are completely simulated and fake and look nothing like the quality you will actually get from one of their cameras. So how can you make an informed decision and pick the right camera for you and your budget? By using the links to the right or the pictures below, you can see exactly what the picture and video quality look like from each of the X-10 cameras. We have video clips and photos recorded directly from each of the cameras as well as from our High Definition Sony cameras so you can compare the difference. I have been using X-10 products for over 6 years and consider myself somewhat of an expert.

However, when I first got started, I was very unsure of what to expect as far as image quality and setup went. My main disappointment came from the image quality of the first cameras I purchased and this site is dedicated to informing you before you purchase so you don't have to learn the hard way like I did.

That was 6 years ago and X-10 has made some major strides in quality since then. Just remember what mama said, "You get what you pay for." If you want a cheap video or security camera with decent quality, X-10 has the perfect solution. If you want a full featured, motion sensitive, high quality security camera capable of automatically recording to your VCR and PC at the same time, X-10 has the perfect solution as well. The difference is only a matter of cost. However, even the most expensive X-10 solution is cheaper than what you would expect to pay for any other manufacturer's solution.

Basically this is the deal. X-10 has a solution that will fit any of your security camera needs with features you can't find anywhere else at a price that will blow you away. However, knowing what to expect before you purchase will go a long way toward increasing your satisfaction. Just know that I have at least one of every camera that X-10 makes and they each have their strong points that they are best suited for. There is no one size fits all and I will be glad to help you choose the right one the first time. Try out our "Which is Right For Me?" wizard to find the camera best suited for your needs or contact me directly and I will help in any way I can.
